As a warm up before the 11th season of the festival presenting Australian and New Zealand movies, taking place in November, we will screen an Australian film, Sweet As, on Thursday, September 19th, from 7 pm at Edison Filmhub. The film will be in English with Czech subtitles. You can buy tickets here.
11th Aussie & Kiwi Film Fest will take place from November 15th to 20th at Lucerna and Edison Filmhub.
Accompanying Events
During autumn, this film will be presented within the project of screenings and lectures at secondary and high schools that we started in 2020. Different materials expanding the topic of the film will be prepared for the teachers upon request. The screening is organised in cooperation with the Association of Teachers of English of the Czech Republic. The dates of the showings will be soon specified.
That’s not all! We are also organising an art display in cooperation with the art gallery Dot by Dot. You can visit the exhibition Inspired by Australia from November 11th to December 15th, 2024, at Champagneria Bar (Průchodní 4, Prague 1). Koko (Helena Brychová) and Lucy (Lucie Grohmanová), who connected over their love of art, will present their work with abstract and natural motives inspired by Aboriginal art.
