A trio of young accidental outlaws in a stolen Mini Cooper set out on a chase across the country in search of a long-lost love. The three non-conformists become the nation’s most wanted criminals as well as national heroes, all in the midst of a media frenzy and an escalating police response. Pork Pie is a fun road-movie with elements of action and romance, imbued with a lust for life and a spirit of carefree love. It is a remake of the cult 1981 New Zealand comedy Goodbye Pork Pie, this time directed by Matt Murphy, the son of the original director Geoff Murphy.
