Starring New Zealand pop star Kimbra in one of the lead roles, Daffodils is a very original romantic musical crammed full of cult New Zealand hits. Singer Maisie (Kimbra) learns about her parent’s relationship from her dying father. A love story which begins with a romantic meeting in the 1960s and ends with a painful breakup 20 years later, comes alive before her eyes, filled with joy and disappointments. This movie is imbued with nostalgia for life as it was in the 60s to 80s and the legendary music of that era. It was a box office hit in New Zealand cinemas in 2019.
