Small waves is an adaptation of the book ‘White Lies, Maori Legends and Fairy Tales‘, by local writer and primary school teacher Falstaff Dowling-Mitchell. It’s a story about three school friends and their efforts to overcome a school bully, whilst also exploring the clash between European and Māori culture.
