Abby befriends a magnificent wild blue groper while diving. When Abby realizes that the fish is in danger, she draws inspiration from her activist mum Dora and takes on poachers in order to save her unusual friend. Adapted from the 1997 novel Blueback, written by well-known Australian author Tim Winton, who is also known for his activist stance on environmental issues.
