Australian Film Festival: comedy about sex, drama, document, horror and awarded TV series

 Australia as a continent full of excitement will be presented at the film festival “Aussie Film Fest” in Prague’s cinema “Lucerna” and in Bratislava´s  “Mladosť”. The movie fans can support the second year of the festival through crowdfunding on portal HitHit.

The audience can look forward to an exciting comedy about love and sex in an unusual form called The Little Death, which means an orgasm in English slang. It shows that it is possible without nudity scenes and with the sense of humor. The document The Another Country will be also screened. David Gulpilil (Aussie Film Fest 2014) the most famous aboriginal actor accompanies Australia with native people and records how they cope with the white culture. The best Australian movie of the last year The Babadook will be presented as well. It tells that the Australians like to be scared … and the viewers will have to undergo in the Prague cinema “encoded” marathon to decryptic The Code.

After the huge success of the last year’s first Aussie Film Fest the festival expands to Slovakia. “We bring the Australian films to Prague and Bratislava with a great pleasure. We wonder whether the Czech and Slovak viewers will find in films from Down Under more opposites or more common themes,” says the director and founder of the Aussie Film Fest Martina Vacková. The festival will take place in Prague from November 26th until 29th 2015 at the Lucerna cinema and in Bratislava week after from 4th until 6th December 2015 at the Mladosť cinema.

The Aussie Film Fest is reciprocal to the Czech and Slovak Film Festival in Australia, which takes place in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth in September, October and November. The project gained the support of the Czech State Fund for the Support and Development of Czech Cinematography, the Ministry of Culture and the Australian Embassy in Vienna. The Media partner is the Czech Television and on-line cultural magazine Kulturio.cz . The famous Czech director Jan Hřebejk is the official patron of this reciprocal project.
