Yankunytjatjara man Derik Lynch is on a road trip back to Country in search of spiritual healing. The journey triggers memories of his childhood and his struggle to reconcile his identity as a queer man, an artist and an initiated member of the Anangu community, where he wants to perform a sacred dance ceremony called Inma. This ceremony is a traditional way of storytelling using pictures, sounds and the body, through which the Anangu people have passed down stories connected to Country, their dreaming, myths and traditions from generation to generation for over 60,000 years. A poignant homecoming story with stunning cinematography, dynamic editing and a powerful accompanying narrative. A winner of the Silver Bear at Berlinale 2023.
